New Oci Card For A Foreign Spouse

Document Checklist (Spouse is OCI Card holder)

  • Copy of Current Passport (Bio Page only)

  • Copy of Spouse Indian Passport (Bio pages only) OR any Indian origin document on the basis of which Spouse got his/her OCI card initially

  • Copy of Spouse current passport (Bio Pages only)

  • Copy of Driver’s License or Utility Bill under applicant’s name not older than 60 days

  • Copy of Spouse OCI Card if applicable

  • Copy of Marriage Certificate

  • Copy of applicants Birth Certificate

  • Employer Letter or any other proof of current employment (offer letter or joining letter can also be used.

  • Employer Letter or any other proof of current employment (offer letter or joining letter can also be used.

Photo Specifications

Standard 2x2 US Passport size digital photo with clear white or light-colored background.

Signature Requirements

Clear picture of Signature on plain white paper or right-hand Thumb print for applicants below the age of 5

Note: You may send us a digital photo taken from your phone against a plain wall, facing front.

Note: Time is only estimated and it may take longer based on Consular timelines. Spouse based OCI Cards can take up to 6 Months or more.

Process Note

Step 1

Email us the documents via regular email with attachments or send us a secure link to access your uploaded documents.

Step 2

Once the documents are verified, we proceed with the payment.

Step 3

After the payment is being made, we process and submit the files as per the process.

You will continue to get periodic emails regarding the progress of your application

Note: Both the applicant and Spouse will be called to the Consulate for a brief interview before issuance of the OCI   Card, please look out for an email from the Consulate few weeks after the file is submitted.
